Artistic Motivation & Intent

Asians are losing their stories, culture, and grace, and they are losing it to fast media infiltration, lack of time to settle the mind and inattention for daily practice, and sadly, suffering from a lack of understanding towards what is actually our own heritage.

Good storytelling influences and provides a simple artful way in preserving wisdom, clearing our minds, and healing our hearts. It transcends age and time, the good and the bad, the wise and the mundane; it teaches and seeds. In fact, all great movies and literary works evolve around it. The choice to retain the stories belonging to our asian heritage is hence, urgent.

Sound Sañña or Sound Perception Project

In any complete being, we consist of five aggregates or five kandhas:  material forms, feelings, perception, volition, and consciousness; and we contact the world through six sense doors (sight, sound, smell, taste, touch and mind). Bearing misperceptions, we grasp to projections without distinguishing if they are real or unreal. There, states of wholesome and unwholesome consciousness lead us round and around.

In finding valuable ancient stories spoken by voices of non-architectural or non technical presenters, music composition is choreographed to guide understanding. However wise hearing remains a work for our listeners' ~ we hope our works meet with beginners' minds and listeners with openness.

This work started without target audience nor about promoting sensual perception before right understanding, its intent is merely that of results and production...
